waiting for the voice
to speak the words
fill the empty space
of memory
frozen in its place
lost in its time
firm solitary and free
it speaks
of what is not heard
from that not written
against its time
from a place
solitary firm and free
the voice
is not consumed
in itself
lost on false intent
or stalled in the
space between silence
solitary firm and free
he waits
for the images to settle
call his name
reveal themselves
shaping sounds into
symbols carried from their
